When I tell you I was beyond freezing taking these photos, PLEASE BELIEVE ME. The day prior it was 70 and gorgeous, so naturally, it was 30 and frigid the day we took these and I decided to wear an off the shoulder top?? Psychotic. #DOITFORTHEBLOG I was screaming practically the entire time from how cold it was…and if you think I’m smiling, that’s actually a grimace.
Anywho, this month’s Style x Style post is all about Spring’s hottest trend: embroidery! We are seeing it everywhere…literally. Embroidery on jeans, skirts, shirts, bags, shoes, the list goes on. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it on my food! Actually, nevermind, that’s gross. Don’t do that! Also, don’t let anyone know you got that idea from me…k thanks
I decided to style these Topshop embroidered floral jeans with this awesome OTS top from Loft – if you look close enough it also has some really subtle floral embroidery. And it’s got bigger sleeves which are super on trend right now too. Win, win for both trends!
Speaking of trends, I’m still crushing on the clear/invisible shoe trend and I love these ones from Steve Madden. They are really easy to walk in and make your legs look so much longer thanks to that clear strap.
I can’t get enough of embroidery, so I’ve linked some more favorites of mine in the widget below this post. Make sure to check out Taylor (Style Is Everything Blog), Lacey (The Glitter Gospel Blog), and Amanda (For The Love of Glitter) to see how they’ve styled embroidery! And be sure to check out our past looks by clicking the tab titled “Style X Style” up above!
We are having THE BEST time on vacation and don’t want to leave! I’m so sad we only have 2 more days left. I’ll see you back here on Monday…back to DC and back to the cold *Insert tears gushing down face emoji here*
