Sometimes it’s hard to wear current trends in an office environment. For example, nobody’s wearing cold shoulder tops to work, unless you have a much more open dress code policy than I do at my current office. But, occasionally, you can take a current trend and downplay it enough to make it work for work. That brings me to my current post today: how to wear bell sleeves to work.
Bell sleeves are such a popular trend right now and we are seeing those plus huge sleeves, ruffles, and other sleeve details everywhere. I love wearing these kinds of tops since it makes me feel like I have smaller arms (hah goals), and when I found this blouse from Topshop, I knew it would be perfectly appropriate to wear to work!
Here, I paired the top with this awesome stained glass skirt from Loft and navy heels, however, I’ve also worn it with dress pants, a statement necklace, and bright pink pumps. The pics don’t really do the top justice since the wind was blowing all around and wasn’t really working with me. What a jerk.
In other news, all of us in the DC/DMV area are still struggling with the snow we got on Tuesday. We had just put away our winter clothes and were in the middle of saying, “Phew we had such a mild winter” and then BAM! Snowstorm. So typical.
The good news is, it’s hump day! And the weekend is just around the corner (hallelujah). The hopefully very warm weekend.
